Asher has managed countless projects for clients requiring diverse technology solutions.  Since 1999, he has personally completed the design, installation and implementation of over 200 computer networks, and provided services ranging from large and complex Information Services solutions to simple tutorials and training designed to better understand software and equipment.  Regular clients include contracting and construction companies, financial and legal services, medical offices, trucking and haulage companies, and real estate professionals.  A sample of completed projects includes:

TD Waterhouse

Asher supervised the successful rollout of SunGard software to enhance the daily business activities of brokers and fund managers working at TD’s Bay Street, Toronto location.

University of Toronto

As a Project Manager and Technical Solutions Consultant, Asher led the implementation of a hotel management solution for New College’s 750 bed summer residence program.  This project involved upgrading the college’s computer network as well as re-engineering all legacy processes completed by the bookings office, hospitality department and management team.  New College’s residence rooms are distributed across three separate buildings.

Pepsi

Contracted by Pepsi Bottling Group, Asher prepared the rollout of handheld computers equipped with software enabling coast-to-coast delivery personnel to more efficiently manage the distribution of Pepsi products.  The employment of these new devices allows Pepsi to manage their product inventory in real time and significantly increased profitability through the elimination of legacy paper processing. 

Royal LePage

Asher devotes a substantial portion of his time to providing services for a large group of real estate professionals affiliated with the Royal LePage network.  From network administration to the implementation of wireless, web-based communications devices, Asher continues to manage and support all aspects of Royal LePage’s technology.

Subway

At Subway, Asher developed the existing Point of Sale system, implemented an automated employee payment system, and designed and installed a complete security/surveillance solution.

Awards and Accomplishments:

Asher has been recognized by The Prime Minister’s Office for exemplifying the qualities of citizenship that strengthen our social fabric and enrich our national life.  He has been awarded the Canada Day National Youth Award for community involvement, promotion of Canadian values, and environmentally friendly initiatives.  Asher has also been recognized by the Town of Newmarket for outstanding community involvement and volunteer initiatives; and has been awarded the Entrepreneurial Award by the East Gwillimbury Chamber of Commerce.

Asher is a graduate of the Delta Epsilon Chi Leadership Development Academy & Senior Management Institute in Louisville, Kentucky, and has completed a Specialist’s degree in Bioethics at the University of Toronto.  Asher is an active member of the medical ethics community, as a member of the Research Ethics Board at Southlake Regional Health Centre and as a member of the World Transhumanist Association.  Asher regularly attends international conferences to debate the future of medicine, the protection of human subjects in research, and global health issues.
